Gift Registry

What you need, what you want – Wishpot

My fabulous brides often ask me for recommendations and ideas about gift registries. Here is one that will help you create your list in no time.

La Dolce Idea is a proud Wedding Expert at Wishpot, an online wish list site offering a unique, free-of-charge wedding registry service.

Launched in 2007 and awarded Best Social Shopping site in 2008, Seattle-based Wishpot is a free social shopping service that makes it easy to save and share interesting things users find from anywhere on the web. Once collected, items are stored and organized using simple online lists, which can be kept private or shared with others. From wedding and baby to gadgets and indie, and kind of list can be created!

While other online sites do offer registry services, usually brides and grooms are limited to that single retailer. Wishpot, on the other hand, enables users to select items from anywhere on the web. Wishpot also offers price comparisons and sale alerts to keep your registry within reach of even the most budget-conscious guest.

Unsure of what you want? Consult Wishpot’s wedding experts (like me!) for unique gift ideas and tips, seek advice from other couples, or even check out the current, top registered items. In addition to (or instead of) creating a traditional wedding registry, you can request contributions to honeymoon/vacation packages, cash gifts, even donations to charity.

How does Wishpot work? Just sign up, download the Wishpot button to your toolbar, and start shopping! While browsing your favorite wedding gift sites on the net, drag and drop items you like into the Wishpot button on your toolbar. The items will be automatically added to your registry.

Follow La Dolce Idea’s recommendations by clicking on the “Wishpot” blue seal on the right-hand side of this blog. You will see how easy it is to create your favorite wish list!
