Tara and Ian got married at the always beautiful Prado at Balboa Park.
Rev. Deborah Young (wearing an impeccable Venetian red suit matching the color palette) officiated the ceremony at the Terrace, and the reception followed in the Grand Ballroom for a happy celebration.
Tara’s necklace was a work of art with an heirloom cameo that was perfect for the “timeless elegance” theme.
The Venetian red and ivory palette was in Tara’s bouquet…
… in the escort cards (all handmade)…
… and the menu cards (handmade as well).
Centerpieces featured manzanita trees with ivory blooms and amaranthus, embellished with hanging votives.
Tables were named after the couple’s favorite songs.
A little cherub never left the couple (sitting on a chair during the ceremony and wishing good luck at the sweet heart table during the reception).
The favors (delicious cookies) were baked by Tara’s cousin: she decorated them with the couple’s initials, wrapped them in cello bags and finished each one with a thin satin red ribbon.
The three-tiered cake by Flour Power was decorated with dark chocolate and was prepared with an irresistible raspberry filling.
It was a privilege to be part of such a glorious day for Tara and Ian, congratulations to the happy couple!
