Pantone (the global authority on color and provider of professional color standards for the design industries) announced 18-2120 Honeysuckle as the color of the year for 2011. This is a dynamic reddish pink, a vibrant and energetic hue that lifts our spirits, it captivates and stimulates.
As Leatrice Eiseman, executive director at Pantone Color Institute says, “The intensity of this festive reddish pink allures and engages. In fact, this color, not the sweet fragrance of the flower blossoms for which it was named, is what attracts hummingbirds to nectar. Honeysuckle may also bring a wave of nostalgia for its associated delicious scent reminiscent of the carefree days of spring and summer.”
Honeysuckle is definitely one of my favorite hues for many wedding palettes. It works great for day and night in apparel and décor, invitations and tabletop accessories. Also, Honeysuckle is now one of the nearly 200 Pantone Wedding Colors available from Dessy, a leading manufacture of bridesmaid, social occasion and flower girl dresses.
Let’s start playing with Honeysuckle for your 2011 wedding today! Inspiring Tavolozze are on the way!
