Time to celebrate with… Margherita

Last week I helped one of my wonderful brides, Margherita, with her bridal shower which was hosted by her mother and sister at the Handlery Hotel.

The invitation set the theme for the whole event: Breakfast at Tiffany’s was the inspiration, and Margherita titled her shower Breakfast with Margherita. “We searched high and low to find an invitation that matched my theme but the wait was well worth it”, said Margherita.

Guests were greeted by the beautiful bride (who wore a stunning white cocktail dress) and her bridesmaids (all dressed in chic black). Escort cards were displayed at the sign-in table along with a towering Manzanita tree decorated with delicate blooms, hanging crystals and votives.

Escort cards were hand made by Margherita’s bridesmaids with white and Tiffany blue card stock.

A picture of Audrey Hepburn from Breakfast at Tiffany’s was on each escort card, the welcome sign (with a wonderful picture of the couple) and on the guest book.

Miniature wire mannequins with different dress styles were used as table number holders, and they matched the theme perfectly.

Cute pops with Margherita’s initial and a little tag were placed at each setting.

Margherita’s creative bridesmaids also made Tiffany-style boxes for a delicious cookie table; they were filled with a variety of sweet delicacies including Amaretti topped with a cherry, sesame cookies, biscotti (Margherita’s family is originally from Italy).

The cake was modeled after the signature Tiffany’s blue box with a white ribbon and a cute tag congratulating Margherita on such a happy day.

Margherita and Damion’s wedding will be in a couple of months and I can’t wait to help them with their celebration!
