Tomorrow is Earth Day, we celebrate our planet and we give back. However, I would love to see people give back more than one day a year…
For weddings and events, the best way to help Earth is to choose a “green” venue, use recycled paper for stationery, hire eco-friendly vendors (especially for catering, transportation and florals), and offset your carbon footprint (WeddingWire and Carbonfund.org partnered to help you with this). After the wedding, recycle!!! I always give suggestions to my brides on how to sell their used wedding gowns and items; this will let other brides-to-be buy them and use them for their own celebration.
