What I liked about… Kayan and Michael’s wedding

Kayan and Michael got married at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines on a sunny Saturday. Their wedding had a colorful palette of orange, coral and white.

The invitation suite matching the color scheme was designed (as well as all other stationery pieces) by Dolldine Designs.

The day started with a beautiful tea ceremony, where Kayan wore a traditional red dress with intricate gold embroidery.

Her wedding gown was a masterpiece with an ivory embroidered pattern finished with organza flowers.

Thanks to the uber-creative mind of Rheana Coon at White Lotus Productions, every single detail was artfully crafted, from the floral creations to the entire decor.

An outstanding Lucite gazebo was embellished with hanging crystals and orchids for the ceremony…

… At the reception, a triumph of white, orange and coral dominated the ballroom thanks to a glossy white dance floor, custom-made head and family tables, all-white furniture, and tall colorful centerpieces.

Other wow factors included an ice sculpture with the couple’s initials, and excellent music by Jewell Entertainment: a string quartet at the ceremony, a live band during dinner and an extraordinary DJ / MC to dance the night off.

There was one more outfit change for Kayan: she slipped into an amazing purple dress right before dancing with the love of her life!

La Dolce Idea styled the candy table, and guests used take-out boxes (part of Rheana’s design concept) with personalized stickers by Dolldine Designs to bring home the sweets of their choice.

Thanks to Chrystal Cienfuegos for the marvelous images! For more pictures, visit the couple’s gallery on my website.

Congratulations to Kayan and Michael, I wish you all the best!
