What I liked about… Yimon and Aung’s Wedding

This beautiful wedding at the Hilton Torrey Pines Hotel in La Jolla was characterized by organic flowers and a colorful palette. Yimon and Aung, both from Burma, made it oh-so-memorable thanks to many little details that reflected their personality.

Yimon’s dress was a true beauty and she added a delicate hairpiece to complete the chic look.

All the personal flowers (by Classic Creations) reflected the colorful and organic palette.

Turquoise was the color for the bridesmaids’ dresses and the groomsmen’s ties.

The ceremony took place at the Parterre Garden, while the reception unfolded in the Ballroom.

The warm, rich tones of the ballroom were enhanced by the turquoise linens and ivory-orange chair covers by Sweet Ribbon Events.

Yimon was a very crafty bride: she made the ceremony programs, favors, table numbers, and the guest book herself with papers from Burma. The escort cards were embellished with authentic dolls from Burma as well.

A multi-tiered cake in different shapes was the grand finale, and the happy couple celebrated all night long with their guests.

A huge thanks to Adrienne, my junior coordinator for making this another stress-free wedding by La Dolce Idea, and to  fabulous photographer Alon David: he captured so many unforgettable moments of Yimon and Aung!
