What I liked about… Lauren and David’s wedding

I never have enough of organic and simply beautiful weddings! Lauren and David have a very special place in my heart: besides being a fabulous couple they had a celebration that truly reflected their love for each other in every single detail.

Personal flowers by The Plant Lady included succulents that were a common thread for both ceremony and reception.

My couples are getting more and more crafty these days! Look at what David made for the house entrance: a sign with multiple arrows indicating the ceremony site, the reception location, and the city where they live (Seattle).

The ceremony took place at Lauren’s mother’s house which overlooks the ocean, an unbeatable view for an intimate wedding. The backyard was transformed in a little sanctuary with succulents and a bamboo structure embellished with white draping.

Following the ceremony, guests walked to Le Papagayo, a quaint French Fusion restaurant in the heart of Leucadia with eclectic and colorful décor.

There, tables were artfully decorated with succulents, candles, and seasonal blooms gathered in glass vases. Each table was named after a beach that both Lauren and David remember for specific reasons, and each guest received a mini succulent plant with their name and the table name as escort card / favor.

All the paper items, including a sweet thank-you card were designed by Dolldine Designs, and they matched the green shades of the succulents used for the décor.

A photo booth by Starlight Photo Booth was part of the outdoor entertainment, and guests were constantly in line wanting for more pictures with fun props!

At the end of the dinner, I had fun playing with sparklers with Lauren and David: our extraordinary photographer, Maurice of Betwixt Studio took some fantastic shots!

It was a great day for Lauren and David, and I was truly honored to be part of it!
