What I liked about… Lisa and Koa’s wedding

Lisa and Koa chose the Hotel Del Coronado as their wedding destination.

Both outstanding athletes (Lisa is a tennis player and Koa plays professional American football), bride and groom worked with me on a beautiful palette of yellow-cream-platinum gray with lace accents, and we incorporated some Polynesian traditions in honor of Koa’s heritage.

Dawn with Embellishmint created fantastic bouquets and centerpieces with phalaenopsis and cymbidium orchids, embellished with lots of candles to create a magical atmosphere in the Ballroom.

We chose shimmering ivory linens for guests tables and a gorgeous lace overlay for the head table by Sweet Ribbon Events.

Nada with SoBelle hand crafted chocolate favors wrapped with lace and finished with a cute yellow bow for guests to take home.

Geraldine with Dolldine Designs created matching programs, escort cards and table numbers, she even included the lace pattern that Lisa loved so much 🙂

The reception included some traditional dances performed by Koa’s family, and Spencer Bezy with Mobile Music Plus kept the guests entertained all night long.

The final touches were a cake by Tower Bakery and a sweet table with irresistible goodies by Wicked Spoon.

Ceremony Magazine recently featured the wedding on their San Diego issue: thank you for including this amazing couple!

Thank you to Cary Pennington Photography for the wonderful pictures!
