What a fantastic day! The 2014 Art Of Fashion was a huge success last Thursday at The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe. Andrea Naversen, the Art Of Fashion’s event for this year asked me to be the Luncheon Chair and it was a marvelous experience, not only because it was a privilege to be part of the cause but also because I had a chance to work with her. Andrea is an amazing woman, tireless professional (like me!) and full of life and energy! For those who don’t know Andrea personally, here’s a recent article that I’m sure you will enjoy.
The Art Of Fashion is the biggest annual fundraiser for The Country Friends, a Rancho Santa Fe non-profit organization that has given more than $12 million to help fund local charities supporting women, children, the elderly and people with disabilities. I have been a proud member since December 2012 and I absolutely love it 🙂
Presented in partnership with South Coast Plaza, the Art Of Fashion included a Pre-Show with boutique shopping, a fun photo lounge by Pro Motion Entertainment, Champagne and dessert tastings. The Pre-Show was followed by the Runway Show and the lovely Luncheon on the Croquet Lawn. As Luncheon chair, I envisioned an outdoor French Garden in a palette ranging from Pantone’s Color of the Year Radiant Orchid to lavender and rich purples. Tabletops with lavender overlays and purple napkins were enhanced with lavish centerpieces by world-renowned Rene van Rems and beautiful lavender sachets as favors. Sachet tags and table numbers were provided by Dolldine Designs.
After the Luncheon, attendees stayed for the Apres Affaire with more boutique shopping, wine, cheese and dessert tastings including my good friend Grace from La Reine Des Macarons.
